The revival of plants in May!

Get ready to grow some plants in May! May is an ideal month for planting heat-loving plants like vegetables and flowers that thrive in hot, sunny conditions. While we care for these plants in spring and fall to prolong their growth, May is when they truly excel. It's the perfect time to sow green beans, corn, gladiolas, dill, cilantro, lilies, squash, parsley, sunflowers, and more! 




An Astrological Phenomena!

May is a month for scientific growth and witnessing amazing astrological phenomena. The Eta Aquariid meteor shower will be visible from April 19 to May 28, 2024. The peak viewing time is during the early hours of May 6, 2024, between midnight and dawn. This meteor shower is more favorable for the Southern Hemisphere and will be lower in the sky for locations in northerly latitudes like the UK during the early predawn hours.

A STEM Activity for May

With summer on the horizon, here's an exciting STEM experiment for you to try. Bottle rockets are a perfect summer activity! By mixing lemon juice and baking soda in a sealed bottle, a chemical reaction takes place! As the carbon dioxide accumulates, the pressure within the bottle rises. Bottle rockets are even more enjoyable when shared with friends, so why not give it a go as the temperature rises this May!
